Default How do I read codes from a 1993 Bonneville SE?

I'm familiar with jumping the A and B terminals on the ALDL connector, but the B terminal is empty on my car. The Haynes manual says that some '93 models are configured this way, and "the codes have to be read by the dealer" or something.

I've noticed a small momentary push-button switch behind the ALDL connector. Do I have to do something with that switch to get the codes out of this car?

Many thanks in advance.

Take a look at this, https://www.gmforum.com/specifications-general-information-132/obd1-codes-retrieval-gm-1983-95-cars-trucks-%2A%2A-278820/ Make sure your looking at the plug right, sometimes it'* upside down.
