Hey wassup guys how do u know when your water pump is goin bad?

It makes noise. The pulley wobbles on the worn bearing/bushing. The weep holes start to drip coolant.

On one car i had, before the water pump completely gave, it made noise that sounded like marbles clacking around, and in no particular rhythm. Fast or slow, same akward noise.

When it gave, it just kinda got pulled apart at the pulley. antifreeze everywhere.

when mine went, it just pee'd all over the driveway.

Did you notice a noise that sounded like marbles clacking around?
I would like to know if that noise is common.
Course mine was on a non-GM vehicle when the pump took a nose dive.

every time i parked somewhere, there was fluid underneath my car when i left

sounds about right.

It didn't make any noise...just marked its territory.

Bearings will make a whine (not a good one like SC whine) that changes pitch with engine speed.

when mine went it made a sort of howling noise then the pulley locked up causing a screaming belt. no coolant loss tho :?

Man you all got it covered. I know when it'* pissing out coolant from the weep holes you can still go on it for a while (i know from experience with a '92 lesabre beater our shop had) before it just get'* so bad you can't deal with the puddle anymore. If it'* making ANY noise replace it immediately. If it goes on the freeway with the radio going loud you could be in for MAJOR damage very quickly. I've seen it happen :(
