Default How can i get rid of an annoying chime??

Okay.. this has been bugging me for sooo long now and I don't know how to get rid of it... when i open up the driver side door...without evening having the keys in the ignition...it chimes or dings or whatever you wanna call it... but i can open up any other door and it doesnt do that... how can i get rid of it??

But whats the cause for this? Removing the box would take away the chime when the lights are left on or check gauge chime as well.

yeah that wouldnt be too smart having those chimes off... i just want the chime off from when you open up the driver door... nothing that deals with anything else... and to boot.. it was like this from the time i got the car... it wasnt anything new that just started

ok well a eay fix is to just put a piece of tape or something of the like over the door plunger....this way the car always thinks that the door is closed....

I would say the chime is there for a reason

yeah the chime is there for a reason when you like leave your lights on or your keys are in the ignition with the door open... but when your lights arent turned on and you have no keys in the ignition.. the door should just open without the chime... at least thats how its supposed to work lol

Strangely enough, BillBost37 has a burnt headlight switch and it'* removed from the vehicle. Whenever the driver'* door is open, the chime goes nuts regardless if the key is in the ignition or not.

saying that the headlight switch is not working in Bills car and when the door is open it has the same symptoms as your car
