An hour? You promised me the trip from Albany would be 18 minutes! Besides, my beast'* sheer fright might shake off a whole new layer of rust and paint, and I already have to bondo up that one by the gas tank for July.

I finally got it open tonight. After promising to rub out her spoiler (a little sweet talking never hurt), and having my neighbor hold the hood down and the release latch while I pulled the lever, it popped open. The latch had a fine sheen of rust on it, so I sprayed it all up, and it works again.

Now I have to get back to fixing all that stuff under the hood again. Dag nabit.
