Honda Civic
What do you guys think would win? My Bonne or a somewhat riced civic? Its a 4cyl. engine.
|
youd have to dump some nice coin into a civic to beat the 3.8 sc
|
It depends. What does the civic have??? What year is it and trim line? Is it still stock? and what kind of Bonneville do you have? 92, 95. 97, se, sse, ssei, and so forth.
I think stock for stock a SE could beat a civic but I can't say for sure without knowing more details. |
1995 SE ...205 HP 3800 Series II
|
I highly doubt he can beat ya on a 1/4 mile.. not without so massive twin turboed intercooled NOS pumpin action.. ( and in which case... I would've simply ask 2 things.. 1. now that he's basically topped out.. its your turn for some mods 2. After spending all that money... why didn't he just go out and get a real car to start off with like the Bonnevile ??? DUMB ASS !!!!! )
The only way is on a tight track with hairpins everywhere.. |
Good point, lol. His car sho ain't a bonne
|
This is like comparing a 2 guys guys in a race with one of those guys being DEAD! No contest! 8)
|
Bonneville's have more torque so they will rip faster!
|
Just remember guys (and gals)---
It's not the horsepower that leaves the line... that just keeps you going, it's the Torque the moves Bonnezilla... and it's our job to eat the rice! Mark  |
I have only 170hp (older 3800) and have never lost to any of the literally dozens of Civics I have raced. I used to street race and I had a lot of fun beating ricers with a "grandma" car.
The only way I think a Civic could pose a threat to you is if he was seriously modded, IE. he had a power adder (nitrous, JRSC etc) or an engine swap. But lightly modded they're still 17 second slugs. |
