I got my tranny fluid changed today and was watching as the tech ran through the gears with the hood up. Along with the gear engaging pop which is disturbingly loud outside the car, the engine rocked so far I was shocked and appalled. Would a bad tranny mount allow the engine to rock so far?

It sounds like a bad motor mount to me. Are you talking fore and aft motion?

Could be tranny or motor mount since I beleive they use both to do the same thing. Hold the engine/tranny combo in place.
