Thats 194 degrees Farenheit for our American friends. Hot stuff :P

Time for a new thermostat? Check the coolant levels? Any leaks?

Your car will run a little hotter when driving in the city...outside temps are getting warmer too. Hi-way driving your car should be at 90 or less. My fan kicks on well past the 90 mark...

Yes, that does sound to be around the correct operating temperature. Mine normally runs right at 200 deg. F. Keep in mind that the analog temp. gauge is not the most accurate thing in your car, i.e. +/- 10 degrees. I assume that you have the factory thermostat which is 195 degrees. It wont be uncommon for your car to run even a little hotter than that, especially in traffic.

Remember, the temperature rating of the stat is when it opens, so it the temp goes up beyond that, it will take some time after the stat opens for the temp to come back down. If it seem to do this all the time, the stat may be sticking. A new one is around $10 US and very easy to replace.

Well if your worried about it running a little hot look into a 180 degree t-mat they arent that much and your car will run a lot cooler with one in it. Also check the plug to your fan make sure its connected and use a test light to see if you have power. If you do it should be running unless its toasted but I really havent seen toasten fans. Anyways I dont think thats the prob just make sure its connected because if it wasnt and you were starting and stoping it should be almost red lining. :P

that'* normal.. as everyone stated.. it'* the Tstat.. I've had mine run up to 220 before sittin in idle for too long and or in rush hour where I can walk to my destination.. ( usually cause my accidents involving dumb *** Honda'* up ahead and I can't get to the off ramp. )

Invest in the Tstat.. and have Wilwren walk you through it.. he can probably do it **** drunk too ( the normal state he'* in )
