the security light was only on because I was trying to start the car with the door open. Otherwise, it does not.

jr'* - I'll check the grounds tomorrow...I only the rear carpet was damp...but I'll check the groudns (that rotted metal holder was on the rear passenger side).

If I can get this thing running I'm not going to sell my SLE.

Hey bro. Try cleaning the battery terminals and all the wires that go to the battery. There might be corrosion there and its not leting the starter get enough cranking amps. if not, check the solonoids and the starter for power. if you got no power to the starter, then it might be a starting solonoid or your ignition swith on your steering column. If theres no power to the starter, then its yours starter thas messed up.

Well If you have mess of electrical problems and you have owned the car from day one, someone could install aftermarket car alarm /remote starter. Open the panel beneth the driver area see what you find look for lose wires and stuff.

Hey guys - I'm going to be checking out the SSEi tomorrow morning from head to toe before I have to work.

Few questions...could anyone with a 93 manual/FSM tell me exactly which relay is for the starter and which is for the fuel pump?

Also, is there any way to check for hydrolock by visual inspection?

Thanks!

EDIT - I haven't had time to look at it until now pretty much. Any help is appreciated. Man I wish I lived up there so the new england crew could help me diagnose this.

Hydrolock: Pull sparkplugs, check inside cylinders for coolant. Check those ground busses under the carpet.

the start enable relay is at the top of the dash above and to the left of the column. When I say top...you are not getting at it w/o removing the dash.

Fuel is probably in the relay center on the passenger a pillar.
