you would need a scanner to reset codes. some codes indicators do go away on their own, but they stayed stored in the pcm so you can view them.

you cant pull the negative cable to clear codes with obd 2? huhh, didnt know that. i thought you could just pull the cable for 30 minutes or so, and the pcm would lose them.
