That'* not a valid test at all. Low pressure will still drool out fuel to wet the plugs, but the fuel won't atomize enough to ignite.

We need to know your pressure with key on, ignition off, then at idle, then at idle with the vacuum line pulled off the FPR.

I just went through this myself. The pump probably burned out because no one changed the fuel filter and it was putting too much backpressure on the pump. Have someone use the green fuel pump jumper line and listen with your head near the tank, you should hear a very smooth humming, if you hear a very smooth humming still, you might be able to get away with just replacing the fuel filter for right now, and if it still dies, then you'll definitely need a fuel pump.

But, as mentioned, definitely report back with your fuel pressure data first, thats the best way to tell if we're heading in the right direction.

5 PSI? Uhh yeah, that'* a dead pump right there. Sucks you put all that $$ into parts you didn't need.

well the low psi verifies a weak pump.
