Default Hellllllp This car is driving me crazy!!!

In the last 48 hours the following things hve died on my car. The radio cassette player, the drivers door power door lock, and just now the motor that drives the drivers side seat forward and backward died. Do you guys have any idea as to if these things could be related? and also how to fix them?

Thanks a buch
Daniel

Did they all fail at the same time or one by one?
Have you checked the fuses / breakers? Could be a short.

They failed one by one over a period of about three weeks. Although it was just after I fixed a water leak that dumped gallons of water into the interior through the firewall area

I'd be looking for connections to clean, but also checking for voltage at the suspect component'* connectors. The door lock may be simply rusted/binding. You're going to have to pull the door skin for that one for sure.

ouch that is not what I wanted to hear but I guess you guys are right. Is there anything I can do to stop it from keeping blowing things up? Or do I Just sell it (fast) I am going to sell it anyway but suppose I could just replace everything and then sell it? Thanks for your help you guys. When I sell the car I am really going to miss coming here all the time.

Don't take all the problems in aggregate; you have various unrelated things going on. If the door lock won't operate while the other ones will, investigate the bad door and see if its linkage is binding or if the lock solenoid has burned out. Similarly, if one seat won't move but the other one will, you're more likely to find a mechanical problem in the dead seat rather than a blown fuse.

As for the cassette deck, that'* almost certainly going to be an internal problem if the rest of the unit seems to be working properly.

Or do I Just sell it (fast) I am going to sell it anyway but suppose I could just replace everything and then sell it?
Fix the things that may kill a sale otherwise. e.g. I wouldn't reject a car just because its tape deck didn't work, but I'd try to bargain down the price if a door lock was dead, and I might just pass altogether if the seat was dead (depending on how uncomfortable it was to drive).

Thanks for your help you guys. When I sell the car I am really going to miss coming here all the time.
Have you asked about our Loaner program? WillWren will send you an SSEi to drive until you get back into some wheels. Just part of our full-service program. Hey, you're welcome.
