Oh and don't forget to remove the heater door control motor connector before removing heater door, it'* not long enough to be disconnected after pull out.

thanks for the info, it helps im just trying to figure how to take the dash apart its driving me crazy....

Its not on the pics. Its on the missing heater door. It attaches to the white rod in front of the heater core. Youll have to disconnect that too, forgot to mention it

hey I just stopped doing the job on my car I couldn't remove the plastic air cover without taking the dash off the pictures look different from mine its a 98 just that no SE or SSEi its just not the same i looked around and i still cant find the same pictures like mine im just going to AutoZone which is close and check their book. the procedure says to take the glove compartment out by removing three screws under the door that comes open, and the whole compartment with two vent ducts comes out

Just breathe while you do it. I had a few panic attacks along with discouragement when I did it, but it'* actually pretty simple. Standing your ground as to not wanting to pay someone to do it WILL help! The only hard part is understanding the sequence of dismantling because you can't see your hardware as easily as when doing "standard" mechanics (imho) but nothing (except putting new heater core and removing heater hoses) is hard, it'* tiny screws and plastic clips and connectors.

Actually, it'* not putting the new heater core that'* hard, it'* putting the door back on. The new heater core will go right in.

Hey. Just wondering how to post pictures on here.i almost have my dash apart but im stuck on two screws top part of it is round and has a hole on it and the other end has a three propellers on it so what type of tool do i use on it?its by the steering column .
