Default Has Anyone Changed Thier Motor And Transimisson Mount?

When i speed from 20-30 theres a big kick in changing gears my friends say it could be the motor mount or transmission has anyone had similar problems and the motor/transmission mount solved the problem? If so how hard was it ?

Sounds like your 1-2 shift. Check the 'vacuum modulator" vacuum lines going to it.

The modulator is the thing circled in yellow. The yellow line goes to the side of your throttle body. Vacuum line goes from TB, to modulator.

check the mounts by having a friend help... put the car in drive and hold the brake... give it some gas, and see how far the engine moves, 1 inch or more and your mounts are probably bad... also try it in reverse

Well, check for breaks or alot of dry rotting. With the engine running, move the hose around and listen for leaks. You may even notice the engine change RPM slightly(due to vacuum leak)

well when im in idle my RPMs are at 1,000rpm but when i hit the pedal the rpm can jump pretty fast to 3,000pms. Im curious but when you are at a stop light and you let go of the brake does your car move because my car doesnt move at all unlike other cars i have driven.

Mine also idle'* at 1000RPM and does move the car when I let the brakes go. Could be time to service the tranny. What does your fluid look, smell like?
