This sounds like a vac leak. Take some throttle body cleaner and with the engine running spray a little bit on each vac line. Spray around the LIM gaskets where it meets the head, and also spray around the EGR tube. If the RPM goes up, you found the leak.

Well, here it goes, I checked the coils, primary and secondary and they are good. I cleaned the MAF and then i had to go pick up my daughter 1 1/2 hour away. I started the car and started driving. It was sputtering worst than before and on the second red light it died. Started with no problems after that and I drove to my destination; it didnt do the sputtering thing again. Drove for 3 hours and nothing. Im really confused.

Let'* try something here. Get a can of seafoam, you can find that at a auto parts shop like autozone. Suck about 1/3 of that can in to a small vac line and shut engine off. Let it sit for about a half hour. During this time dump the other 2/3 can in the fuel tank. When you start it the engine will smoke, a LOT. This will clean everything out real good. The seafoam in the gas will clean out the lines and injectors. Let'* see if that helps any. If it does, it'* a cheap easy fix.

I'm starting to hone in to the clues that your giving us. You mentioned it runs fine, then "it'* like turning the key off" at the stop light. I will speculate that the fuel pump is turning off for what ever reason. The PCM turns the fuel pump on via crank signals from the crankshaft sensor. The fuel pump is also turned on or should I say "shut off" from the oil pressure switch. Which may explain why your car is shutting off at idle, or at a stop light. If your car has low oil pressure, or a bad low rough idle, or a combination of all, I would think that this is your problem. To check the crankshaft sensor you really need a O scope and look at the amplitude of the pulses. This may require you taking the car to a shop. Is this problem pretty consistant with every day driving? If so, maybe bypassing Temporarily the oil pressure switch and driving it for a day. If it doesn't stall on you again, you would know why. If it continues to "key off" at your stop light, we will have to speculate on something else

Tim, I was thinking the same thing. My oil pressure gauge does this weird thing where it starts dancing all over the place. The car has only shutdown 3 times in 2 months. Somedays is good and somedays is does the sputtering thing. It does it at idle or at speed. Is hard to explain but it feels like is loosing either air , fuel, or electric for 1/2 a second. So far, I have clean the battery cables, changed plugs and cables, air and fuel filter, cleaned the MAF, checked for vacuum leaks and check for corrosion on the grounds.
Maybe injectors? or TPS or like you said oil switch. Thanks
