Excellent. You're on the right track. Don't buy Bosch Platinums or wires, either.
Never really figured it out, but we have EXTREMELY high failure rates with bosch O2'*, plugs, and wires.
Funny, since there are other bosch parts on our cars, but those parts installed at the factory are manufactured to GM specs.

Don't be a gune, do the tune! After the urging here, It completely changed my car which somehow had thrived on neglect for 150,000 mi. Plugs, wires, PCV, O2, and fuel filter sparked a major recovery. A gutted airbox with drop in K&N was just gravy. Cleaning the TB and MAF screen is next.
You really can't tell where the car is until ya take care of the fundamentals.

If your getting a rotten egg smell its probably the 02. I'm monitoring mine currently and I think the guys are dead right on Bosch.
Don't forget a standard tuneup includes Plugs, wires, PCV, fuel and Air filters, fuel injector cleaner, and cleaning of the throttle body and sensors.
