Gas tank door broken, randomly opens

Gas tank door broken, randomly opens
So this happened.
The little metal wire running through the hinges on the gas tank door randomly broke and fell off.
It'* a little annoyance to have the gas tank door flopping around, but I imagine it'* an easy fix. Has anyone fixed this problem before?
