HUD removal
I'm assuming it'* possible to remove a HUD from the dash, and really hope it'* possible without tearing into things from the bottom.
Anyone ever done that? Mine just isn't seated quite right on the driver'* side, and then I kinda lost something under there too. I tried prying gently, but that didn't work. Do I have to pry less gently? Any tricks?
Thanks.

I just finished figuring that out in the wreckers yesterday... the plastic trim on top of the dash does pop off, then there is 4 7mm screws holding down the unit itself...

Thanks. Yes, I should have rephrased the question. The HUD can stay where it is, but the plastic trim/defroster grille needs to be removed and replaced.
