Last topic that I think i need to know about. Im tierd of the gas gauge moving when i get on the gas or make a turn. i no that it is a floater, but is there anyway i can improve it so that it doesnt change as much and stays in 1 spot? thanks
The baffles in the 92-93 tanks were known to break loose. (92 more than 93..but it happens) and that helps slosh. However.. I've noticed the 92-95'* slosh around more than the newer style. I believe the newer had a maximum amount of moving in a certain timeframe to keep you from seeing it.
92 tanks had fewer baffles. We refer to these as 'un-baffled'.
93 tanks have been known (a couple or three) to crack or break baffles.
HOWEVER, my 95 SLE moves around a bit more than my 93 SSEi, even though the SSEi has cracked baffles.
Some do, some don't. Call it normal.
