30mpg is not unheard of in a perfectly tuned SSEi.

when i had my GTP which is the SII 3800 supercharged, it got 32 on the highway consistently

my SSEi gets about 26-28 but needs a new 02 sensor and a catalytic converter on it. plus a few other little small things, if your car is in good running order, it should be getting better than 20 mpgs and make sure you are running premium ONLY in it.
