funny noises
 

lately when ive been driving around, my car will make funy noises when i turn from one street to another. its not a clicking noise, i dont know how to describe it. kind of like a high pitched hum, i guess. anyone know what the problem could be and how to fix it?

Start with the basics. Is your power steering fluid full?

Does the pitch of the " hum " sound increase & decrease with vehicle speed? Maybe a hub assembly starting to go. Just my guess.

Yes it is full, and no it doesn't have any change in pitch.

If you come to a complete stop and turn the wheel with the engine idling, is the noise still there? Or is it only while your moving?

I have a related question.

On a 95 bonneville, where in the engine compartment can I find the power steering fluid reservoir?

Also is it easily accesible without a lift or ramps?

If it's from the rear of the car, it's the fuel pump.

Mine is getting louder and louder at 117K.

It's at the rear of the engine, well down toward the bottom on the passenger side. It's easier to see with a flashlight, or some type of lighting. You can reach it without raising the car, but be ready to get dirty. ;)

I don't know but when ya get her from under the hood tell her to give me a call........lol :D
