OK, BMW, here's what I've found. I can get the "Tee" all day long, but the elbow is "no longer serviced" , so I asked to buy a vacuum line assembly/kit if it came with the elbow. Kit comes w/o comnnectors (of course), lol.
If it were me, I would go straight to AZ or Advance and get a length of rubber/sillicone vacuum hose in the correct diameter(s) and create a loop or large diameter curve into the FPR. With a little creative thought, you should be able to do it without making it look rigged. |
Lash,
Will do...Thanks for the effort. Sometimes our world is a little wierd/funny :) I think those guys @ Autozone know me by name this week :P I'll pick up on the way home and get that done before the journey tomorrow. Thanks again everyone. |
I tried the stuff from autozone once. It started collapsing on me within a few months. Come to find out it is made in china and is not pure silicone. Then bought some from www.stylinmotors.com, wall thickness was much thicker and after 30k miles is still doing great.

I purchase rubber vacuum hose from AZ all the time and it has yet to fail on me. :D |
It is rated vacuum hose and is SAE approved.
|
OK, I wasn't clear. I meant the hose that you got from AZ that failed.
|
No, the silicone hose from autozone does not have a rating on it. That is why I was telling the poster above to stay away from the silicone hose at autozone.
