I do love the smell of gasoline! Just replaced a fuel hose on my girls minivan today as a matter of fact.

The smell wasn't actually that bad. I bought a junker car (82 Toyoya Cressida with 90k miles on it) for the winter a few months ago and had to replace the gas tank immediately because it had rusted out. So, I learned my lesson with that one and wore gloves this time while doing most of the work. Just threw the clothes in the washer when I was done and that was pretty much the end of the smell.

Drove the whole 3.5 miles to work today and still no sign of leakage. I'm optimistic considering the hemorrhaging it was doing yesterday. She also started right up this morning with a normal amount of cranking - which has always been 0 or 1 cranks before it starts.

I'll have to try the fuel filter again once I get a second wrench and my hand is healed up. I was trying to do the "lefty loosey" deal but wasn't positive I wasn't about to break the thing considering it wouldn't budge. Hopefully it won't give me as much grief with the proper tools and a second good hand.
