fuel filters
I have a 94SSE with almost 107K miles and I'm sure the fuel filter was never changed. Does anyone know if I should change it anyway. I'm having a little trouble with how it accelerates, or drives in general, and was thinking this may be one of the problems. I changed the spark plugs recently and that helped a lot, but it'* not perfect. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
I bought a fuel filter for my 96 SSEI, but when I realized how dificult it was to get to, and that the line was rusted, I decided to let my local shop replace it. He only charged $20.00. Not worth getting your hands dirty for this job, and if the fuel line is rusted to the point where it breaks there is a repair kit that he said he could have used to repair it.

The way I look at it if I don't remember if it'* been change I change it, this way I have nothing to worry about. The part is not that much money, It'* a matter of getting under there and doing it.
Its not that hard at all. Passenger side frame rail just like these guys said. Do yourself a favor and go to your local Advance Auto / Autozone, etc.. and get the GM Fuel line disconnect tool and you'll save yourself even more time. As mentioned, the only crappy part about it is the risk of the fuel still left in the filter spilling on you, but just be carefull and you'll be fine.
