Gameover....what size line and threads did you pick up for the project?

Well I am done. I always think it is nice when people post how things went, so here I go.

Total Run time from start to shower was 1 hour and 30 minutes. Why so long? 1) I like long showers and 2) my car was parked like 30 yards from all my tools and 3) Well....you saw my fuel lines.

The project went flawlessly. Hardest part was finding the fuel pump fuse. It was in the last place I looked. Other than that I think the penetrating oil did its job and it unscrewed really hard at first, but then I started twisting it back and forth (thanks billboost) for a bit and it came off easy.

Only other hold up is I did not know how the quick disconnect worked. I actually have to thank PJ for helping me figure that one out (she opened the box to the new filter and it was quite obvious) and for being my go-fer...Thanks PJ

glad to hear it went well. I had my doubts from looking at the picture. And it must be nice to have a go-fer. I tend to work on my car at home alone, so I have to do all the getting myself. Thankfully, my parents leave me another car incase I need to go to the store. Wonder how long it'll be before someone posts a "your writeup is worthless without pictures" post

The compression fitting idea is a good one, but I have my doubts about it sealing well if the line is as cruddy and rusted as mine... I'll have to try mine the usual way.
