Default Fuel Door Spring

Problem, fuel door doesn't close enought to lock in the closed position, it hanges open up to 1/4 inch. Car. 95 SSEi, is there an adjustment I can make or is the spring going weak on me. I hope I don't have to change the whole fuel door assembly. In order to lock it I have to push it in.

there are 2 little springs on the door. easiest is to find a door the same color and replace.

I had the same thing, the work it would take to replace those springs is more than switching out the whole door.
