For a job like suspension, brakes, or motor rebuilding, he should have a manual himself. It keeps him safer, and keeps liability off the other members giving him advice.

There are some jobs that you REALLY should have one, and this is one of them.

Not looking to pass blame here. I just wanted to know how to get them out and stay alive. I am parting the car so that is no big deal if i trash something.

OK the back were easy. I put the back of car up on jack stands. Then I jacked up under the control arm. I dropped the upper mounts on the back struts to open up the control arm. Cut bolt for sway bar. I lowered the jack and That brought it down far enough to take the long jack handle and pry them out without them flying across the garage and through the wall. I put a piece of 4x4 in there and set the car back down. Not to bad now if only the front would be this easy.

That'* exactly the way to do it. When i did my rears they were both broken so they came out without help, but getting the new ones in is a bitch. I had to barely put the spring in and use a floor jack to push up the control arm then bolt the shock back in it'* mounting. Not too tough, but it took me a few hours and a sack of cusses. Lol
