Yours should be just like the one in my 98. There is a retaining ring holding it into the TB (Throttle body for Aviator). I reoved mine by very carefully prying this ring out with a super small straight slot screwdriver. The screen will pretty much just slide right out after that.

I can post a pic of these parts if you like.

Might sound kinda croude by my ring pliers were broken so I got two small nails thats tips fit in theholes and taped the ends together. Then set the tips in the holes and squeezed... it poped right out. Im a inventer

Taking off teh MAF is so easy. I used one little screw to pull the reatining ring off, then sprayed the **** out of the TB with some carb cleaner. Will see if that helps any.
