Well i finished replacing my coupler today, but for while i've had this grrrrr comming from the right side of my engine when i get in it hard. Check this out. When turn on my air. The very bottom pully closest to the pulley (the one with the outside disk).... The disk starts to spin ONLY when i turn my air, or heat on. Then it'll get going pretty fast.. the stop... about 7 secs later it'll make a loud click noise.. then start agian... Any ideas?

Thanks for the help.... I hope your right. I still havn't found where that grrrrr'* comming from... been a year and a half.. so i'm driving till it breaks and tells me what'* wrong
Does the growl get worse the first time you start it after it'* been sitting overnight? Worse when you're turning the wheels at low speed? I'd describe the sound the power steering pump makes as a growl, kinda, if there'* air in the lines or low power steering fluid. Might be worth a check, it'* simple and free

If it'* low, fill it again to full cold, and repeat. It helps to have someone else to turn the wheel while you watch for bubbles in the power steering reservoir. When the bubbles stop, for the most part anyway, you can stop. If you're doing it like I was, without someone to turn the wheel for you, just repeat a couple of times, turn 'er off, let 'er down, put the cap back on (easy to forget this part
), drive around the block, and see if the noise is acceptable. If not, jack 'er up again and repeat until you're happy.I've still got some air in my lines, I'm sure -- but the noise has reduced considerably since I fed 'n bled the system.

If your A/C compessor is going on and off every 7 seconds, it is an indication that it is low on refrigerant. If you have R12 (pre-95), it is expensive to get filled and usually more cost effective to get converter to 134a. If you have 134a, it should be less than $20 to get topped off. With the right tools, you could do it yourself.
