Default Found my oil leak?

I just installed new plug wires, and while i was doing so, i noticed something the injector to cylinder #3, there was oil pooled between that and the groove in the valve cover, now it wasn't much there, but it was wet, which made me nervous... how would i get there, i just changed the valve cover gaskets. also, is it possible that it is running from there onto the manifold and burning? becuase i can smell it burning, but wasn't exactly sure where it was coming from. if anyone has a good close up picture of the front valve cover, i will illustrate it.

The only real way to know where leaks are coming from is to clean the motor thoroughly..put a few miles on and they should be easy to find and identify.

yeah... i do have a can of engine cleaner, that is supposed to be used without bagging any components, just spray it on, let it sit, and wash it off with light water, but i just am kinda scared that i'll screw something up or something, and have the car not start or get water where i shouldn't

You might need to kick the few drunkards out of the way on your way into the house at that hour.

Sounds like your spark plug wires were old and arching out.

VP has nice new ones...his car should be an easy spray on, spray off.

you might get belt squeal, just bring along some belt dressing spray. (or a couple quick shots of WD-40, just don't get it all over)
