I don't think the res is really there to keep the car dead silent... It simply get rid of some of the exahust drone that occours around 1900-2200 or 2300 rpms... I do not have this drone on the 95 at 2000-2300 or so rpms... With the 91 I have a more than noticeable drone at those RPM'*...

But If I ever get the Magnaflow Cat and Muffler installed I'll be interested in hearing what it sounds like with my L36 and the stock resonator...

It does take some getting used to...

I drove an 89 SSE( Don't ask ), had the Sporty exahust... I was supprised at how loud it was stock.. Grew on me in a fast way tho.. When I lived in the apartments the start up in the morning easily woke some neighbors...LMAO

But that clip of your exahust is noticeable.... I like it..

I'll be good as long as mine will be a tad quieter than what you have...

The flowmaster is a chambered muffler. Some magnaflows are hollow (or atleast you can see from end to end). A stock resonator does A LOT for these cars. How are your tips relative to the bumper? My interior noise doubles at a minimum if i just have my 90* bends with no tips on, which are not exiting after the bumper.

Resonated tips won't help, and might "rice" the noise as there'* no reverb happening after the "resonator".

Let it break in, it'* brand new, and they need to break in, and mellow out. Check your padding/carpet as mentioned. Give it 1000k miles before you make a decision, it needs to be heat cycled.

But you're totally right. Mine has gotten less raspy and more "burbly" in the 10 months it'* been on there. Give it some time; you'll start to love it.

i posted above that im starting to like it.

but yeah when i was atthe muffler shop they had some magnaflow and i could see right threw them except their was tiny holes and that lead to a padding or insulator.

Based on current US yearly averages that'* less then 1 month.

The first time you think it'* too quiet then you know ur good. (Or the stereo was too loud that day)

1000k would be 1,000,000 miles.....

I was just giving you a hard time though.... no worries! I agree; there will come a day when you start to think, "Is my exhaust quieter than it used to be?" That'* the day you'll know you're totally used to it.
