Hey wassup guys i finally got the right trans in my 93 ssei and it shifts fine only thing is is when i first start up i have to mash the gas to get it in gear and ive put alot if fluid in it but people are sayin when u get a trans in u got put alot in how much do i need guys and also i was on the highway today and i heard a loud pop like someone threw a rock at my car or sumthin anyway now i hear a strange rattle coming from my rear end anyone know what that is???

Well if the trans had been completely drained, it takes 11 quarts. Do you know the correct procedure for checking the fluid level? Be careful mashing the gas to get it in gear, or you'll definitely be hearing some new, louder pops

To check the fluid level, you should drive the car around for 10 minutes or so to allow the trans to warm up. Then park the car on level ground with the engine running. Move the gear selector through P,R,N,D,3,2,1, etc, pausing for a couple seconds on each one. With the car still running, pull the dipstick, clean, put it back in, wait a couple seconds, then check the level. It should be in the cross-hatched area.
