Default A few questions

I just purchased my park ave with the SC'd 3800 and I was wondering what I need to check out and what will need to be done tuenup wise. I am going to change the SC oil as well as the engine oil, and I was wondering what everyone uses for engine oil. I always run Mobil 1 in my Camaro with no problems, but is it okay for a supercharged engine? Also, what type of plugs does everyone use? I was thinking about going 1 heat range colder because the highest quality gas I can get around here is 91 octane. Also, I am not going to use a CAI, so I was wondering about the quality of the K&N panel filters (stock) for these cars. Any other info you can give me would be great!

well I use (& sell) AMSOIL Full Synthetic 10W30 Oil & AMSOIL Super Duty Oil Filter.
As for plugs, I use AC Delco Platinums.
As for a stock replacement K&N Air Filter see here: http://www.bonnevilleattitude.com/st...roducts_id=234 I can get you a price tomorrow if you like too!

Shame on you, Rat. No plats for the SC guys. Your L67 will prefer copper plugs. The rest sounds great. The replacement K&N will work great, but the box really needs to breathe better. There'* an article in Techinfo on that.

Thanks for the replies guys!! So the SC 3800 will like copper plugs better? Why is that? I'm curious because I have heard that before and I never knew the reason why. Also, should I go 1 heat range colder than stock? The highest grade fule that I can get is 91 octane, but I do 80% of my driving on highway/interstate. About the air filter, my engine is stock (save for a future K&N) and I did open up the airbox. I took out the white PVC? "wall" and then I cut a hole in the bottom of the airbox because there is a hole in the fender there. I DID notice quite a difference though!! I was really suprised that it could make that much of a difference
Again, thanks for the replies!!
