Default felpro timing cover gasket set, 93 bonneville LE

Opened it up tonight, it has the nice metal gasket with rubbery stuff for the timing cover, O-rings, nice plastic gasket for the water pump, etc. Question: why does it also include a little tube of RTV? Is this for where the block, timing cover, oil pan meet? The timing cover already has a little "bulge" of rubbery stuff at the oil pan.. Please reply.. Thanks.. Mike

the rtv is for where the tc meets the oil pan. there was a little instruction sheet that said that in the last one i got. was that in the one you got?

but fyi, i would strongly suggest dropping the oil pan after your done. you will be amazed how much coolant will be in the pan, even if you drain the pan.
