Well, I followed the procedure and cleaned my evap core and guess what? Now my freakin' car won't start. It cranks but won't start. And I lost one of the 10mm nuts that holds the fuse center to the firewall. If fell behind the fuse center and when I attempted to retrieve it it just fell further to the point where I can no longer see it. I was pretty careful when I hosed off the brake cleaner and checked every so often to make sure that the interior carpets were not getting wet. Everything inside was bone dry. I will wait a while to see if the car starts. I am very discouraged now. The wires are not wet and everything went back together in 5 minutes. I hope I don't have to have the car towed to my friends shop....AGAIN!!!

Hmmmmm..I'm not as well-versed at this as some. Is it possible your fan isn't actually blowing any faster on the 3rd or 4th fan speed selection? Fuddy has the factory service manual. Or does someone live near enough to you to swap Climate Control panels?

Test the voltage at the blower motor with the HVAC on the highest manual setting.

Multimeters are usually pretty cheap these days - like $10. I bet you have a friend or a neighbor with one.
