Engine swap
It woud depend on the size of the block, mostly length, and if it mates up to the tranny. I would look into what sensors need to get swapped out. There are alot of challenges that need to be overcome. Anything is possible with enough time and money. Why wouldn't you swap your 3800 with a */C version? Series 2 or 3?
If it could be done, you would be taking 3 steps back with that motor......
unless you find a GMC Typhoon or Chevy Syclone motor 4.3 turbocharged V6....then we would allow you to do the swap!
Disp.: 262 C.I. (4.3L)
Horsepower: 280 BHP @ 4400 (Syclone) 285 BHP @4400 (Typhoon)
Whats wrong with the motor you have?

I think I blew up my engine. I was driving and my car starting overheating stopped and put water then it started overheating again and losing power then we noticed alot of water coming out of the tailpipe.
