I have a 1997 bonn, SSE with 99,000 miles. About once a day the car just shuts down on me while driving. When this forst started I got a check engine light. My mechanic said the the computer shows a small emisions leak. After he reset the computer the light does not come on but the car still shuts off. I just had a tuneup done too. Any suggestions?

Check your fuel system .

I have a 92 Bonneville SEE. About a year ago mine was doing the same thing it would beep the check engine and shut off. You would have to wait a lil while before it would start agian. It turned out to be the crankshaft censor. It would malefunction when it would get too hot.

Also check my favorite culprit, the battery terminal connections - You have to take them off of the battery and scrub everything with a wire brush to keep the good contact.
