Ok here'* the deal. I bought the car not realizing it had this option. Car bounces really bad at the rear end so I figure I would replace the struts. After carefully looking them over I realize they are the air struts. I hear the compressor run and I know it works cause i've aired up a couple of tires. My question is if the compressor is pumping to the rear struts and they have air leaks or something wouldn't the compressor run all the time? I'm thinking that maybe the sensor that everyone else talks about is bad. Also would I be better off just replacing the air ride struts with regular ones? I'm wanting the best handling car and I don't do much packing stuff around in my trunk. I've also checked the fuse in the fuse block anything else and is there a way to test that sensor?
There are timers involved. It may take up to a minute for it to come on. When you turn the trunk inflator on, do you hear a click in the corner of the trunk below the right speaker? That'* the selector valve between the struts and inflator.
Now press the outlet valve on the inflator after turning it on. Any air?

Well i checked everything out and I guess everything is working fine. I sit on the bumper and car starts pumping up. What got me to thinking the struts were bad was how it was handling on the highway. The supension is alot tighter than on my lowly 89 LE Bonneville. It is very stiff and gonna take some getting used to. I was used to a real floaty suspension now i've got this. It'* got more sports car feel to it than I realized it would have.
