For all intents and purposes tho... he is correct. Its a fudge load of work to switch from knobby to ECC... you end up replacing the head unit, adding the programmer, rerouting vaccuum lines, running and soldering lots of wires, adding three temperature sensors and changing your fan speed controller.
About one week and a few odd hours later you could have an ECC. Mine is a half and half right now, i got to the fan controller and couldnt find one in the junkyard so i put back my knobby. So im only another 10-15 hours away from an ECC (Its going to be computer controlled)
