Greg... test the struts like I'm going to.. you pull the connector off the er uh..hose laden thingee in the trunk and press the on button for the inflator.. it fills the struts. You should see it go up. If not..somethings wrong..and it'* not the springs.

I took an air compressor and back fed the system to 50 psi. I did not see the car go up, but I put 50 psi in the system

and if you pull a connector off of a strut, does the pressure go down? (do you hear it leak) you might have a blockage or the solenoid that diverts to the air hose is stuck in acc air mode. (do you have pressure there?)

I'll try that: common sense says it should

come to think of it, your not going to be able to "backfill" using the acc hose connector. I'll have to look at the fsm when I get home.

but the way it'* setup, air from the car'* compressor goes EITHER to the acc hose or the strut. so you are going to have pressure up to the solenoid or through the solenoid to the car'* compressor. It'll never get to the strut.

So what I nned to do is pump ~80 psi into it, hit one of the buttons and watch the car jump up

Ok...97 owners..

I was under the car today. Pull the connector to the soleniod selector connector in the trunk by the right back of the trunk. Measure the height of the bottom of the plate opening to ground. Then press the inflatbor button, and measure..you should see it rise. Turn system off and pulll fuse 5B quick to keep the system from deflating. Measure....wait and measure.

My car went down. I already checked the struts..it'* not them. Pulled my compressor off the car and let it rest next to while the power wires were connected. Disconnected the output hose from the car and connected it to my vacuum/low pressure gauge. Kicked on the compressor for a second.. pressure pegged past 10psi (limit of gauge) and I sat and waited. Sure enough...leaked down. Seems to be an internal compressor fault.

Found the leak with soapy water...
