ECC Code 48 - Long term Freon loss.....?
Ok, as some of you saw in my whoring thread, I have the dreaded "temperature flash" on the ECC upon starting the car. This is why the AC switch was installed, as It has a code 48, which is long term freon loss. Is there anyway to fix this problem, or will it haunt me?

As I have told you before, it'* either a faulty sensor or a bad programmer. It has kept the freon in it'* system since August 2006, and is still as cold as ever.

Follow the instructions in Techinfo to clear it. It'* not uncommon to have this pop up once or twice a year.
I've had that code on the SSEi twice a year for the 5 years I've owned it, and I still have ice-cold AC.

If you are asking my opinion.
Get hold of the FSM and troubleshoot it. Then fix the issue and remove the extra switch.
Your course of action depends on what you want to accomplish.
