Default Easy question about jacking up a '95 SSEi

I've got a big Craftsman SUV jack that I bought last year. I think it'* a 3 or 5 ton hydraulic jack that just rolls underneath and you pump the handle to jack the car up.

I don't want to crimp the chassis support that I normally put the top round part of the jack on, but I noticed when I tried to jack the car up the support (long part of the chassis) wants to bend or crimp a little.

Is there something else I need to do to jack the car up, either front or back?

Thanks for a great resource!

I've always used the front cross member, usually centering the jack to lift both sides of the front at the same time. This lets me place a jackstand under each side where needed. I've never seen that crossmember even begin to look like it was gonna bend.
