Default Drivers side flap

Upon doing some digging under the dash, I found that the part that works the flap for the floor setting was broke, and just hanging in the hole. The tabs are broken off of it, causing it to hang.
I am not sure what it is really called, but it is up by the gas pedal and has 2 vacuum lines running to it. and is round.
I am going to have to replace it. Question is, How does it come out, and how does the rod that is hooked to it, and the flap that is also hooked to it, come apart.....I am hoping that someone can send me to a tech section on this, with pictures and maybe step by step removal and installation.
I can tell you this..... It is not easy trying to either lay up under there on your back, and look up, or try to do this work on your knees....... I am 6' 2" and 305 I might have to find me a skinny guy to help me out.....lol.
Thanks guys.....

Ok I also need to add to this....... I pulled the 2 vacuum lines off in a hurry and didnt look at where each color went (DUH) Can someone tell me, or maybe even show me a picture of this, so I can probably hook them back up for the time being....Thanks.

I quess there is nobody that knows anything about this.....
How about the vacuum routing under the dash.....
There is 2 hoses that are hooked to the floor heat door. Wherre do these to hook up at? one is blue/green and the other is white. the 2 hook ups on the acuator are 1 in the middle and the other is around the outside, of the round acuator.
Thanks.

I think you're describing a vacuum actuator. I thought they came off easily with something like one screw holding them on. The one you're describing is the floor vane controller; it has two settings, one is off so air goes up to the defroster or AC vents and the other is bilevel where some air comes out the heater vents and the rest goes up to the AC. That'* the only vacuum device that has two tubes going to it.

The tubes to the programmer on the right side which is bolted with two screws onto the side of the heater core part of the box--under the glovebox.

The back of the vacuum device is open so you can push on it from the back with your finger and move the diaphragm.

Yes that is what I am describing..... It is held in with 2 or 3 tabs on the back of it, and it turns like 1/4 turn and it locks in.....Well all of the tabs are broken off and it is hanging out of the hole.....so when I activate the floor heat, it just pushes out further and the door doesnt shut like it should.....
I do not see how it comes off of the rod to replace it.
As far as the 2 vacuum line that go to it. One hooks in the center and 1 hooks to the outside edge. Well I pulled them off and didnt really pay attention to the location of the 2......(DUH)
How do these hook up.....I will try to find a picture of it, or try to get a picture so I can show you as to what it all looks like up in there..... Thanks.....

Ok,. I could not get just the one picture that I needed so I had to copy the whole page.....But it is on page 2 and it is the 4th post, with all of the pictures......it is the 4th picture down.....
Pay no attention to the parts that are marked with the yellow arrows. The part that I am referring to is in the upper right hand corner and has a vacuum line hook up coming out of the middle of it, as well as another one that you cannot see that is around the outside of it.
It is held in with 3 tabs, mine are all broken off and the floor / bi-level door will not work. and it is taking air flow away from all of the other doors. Maybe someone knows of somewhere else that will show a better picture, with the lines hooked to it. and where I can purchase one of these and what the part is even called.....Man I sound needy dont I?????
Thanks for any help possible..... you guys rock.........

Yes sir, that is it. It is the part in the upper right hand corner of the picture.....Round shape, with the fitting in the middle of it. Like I said it also has a second fitting around the outside edge for another vacuum fitting......Toddster, you are the man.....

Does anyone have any other pics of this part, and how the 2 vacuum lines hook and which one goes where?
I am hoping that there is a way to pull the broken one off of the shaft that runs the door for the floor heat and air. it is in the stuck on posisiton now, and not getting much air flow from the dash vents or the defrost vents.
Thanks guys,,,,,, I just hope I am not beating a dh2
