Door latch assembly broken need help.

i remember something like this happened before. i think the problem ended up being a piece in the lock thingy itself that broke while it was locked, thus making it impossible to unlock it, do a search for it, i would but i'm going to bed. anyone else remember this?
Unfortunately the photo I wanted to see, a close-up of the latch, is no longer in that thread, but maybe the other details will help anyway.

i took the panel off again tonight and pissed with it for 3 hours and still no luck!!! AHH its making me mad that no matter what that damed door doesnt open. If i cant get the door to open i have no idea how to get the latch appart so i can change it.

Sounds like you're getting good at removing the rear door panels now.
Remove the panel from the other side. Get a helper to open the working door while you very closely look at the lock mechanism. Watch which parts slide & click.
Now look in the non-functioning door. Are you able to notice any difference in activity. If you haven't already, generously spray WD40 inside the latch assembly from every possible angle. Anything starting to move?
If not, have your helper push inward firmly from outside the door around the latch location then try opening. Notice any difference in action?
