Default Does your EGR leak like this? *Pics added*

My EGR leaks out of the shafts above the base. Both gaskets are good. The leakage seems to come from all three shafts and is coating everything close with greasy soot. This is the EGR off the 93 SE. The original EGR did this too. The 93 showed no signs of leakage when it was on the SE. Ideas?

This pic might give you the general idea.

What do you have as a gasket there? It sure doesn't look like any I've seen, it'* so gummed up on the right side that it looks like rtv.

Mine doesn't leak there either. The gasket between the bases is simply thin pieces of steel.

The base gasket is the same as the EM gaskets or crossover/DP donuts. Soft lead reinforced with metal screen.

John, can you clarify that your leaks are from WITHIN the EGR valve assembly itself?

There is no sign of leaking at the gaskets. It'* coming out of the shafts.

I'm not familiar with the L67 EGR valve. Could we get a pic pointing at it from the firewall end? Are there gaskets on the shaft and if so did you reuse the old ones?

When I swapped I used a new gasket on the base. I didn't touch any gasket on the shafts if there is one.

This is a digital EGR valve used up through 93, not L67 specific.
