Default Do our cars really need a Rear tower brace?

I was looking in mine and i noticed there is already a welded in piece of metal that looks like a rear tower brace. If there was an aftermarket one you would need to put it inside of it.

I know ty offers one. But is it really neccesary on our cars? How hard is it to install? I was looking to get one, i just want some more info on it.

no unless you are going to put alot of wieght in the trunk the extra brace would keep the back from flexing when truning or large bumbs in the road
