Any other info that you can give us? Any lights come on since it died are oil pressures ok? Any other sounds or symptoms you have noticed lately

What kind of knock? Is it high on the engine, or near the bottom?

no other sounds, no lights, and the oil pressure is great. all the coils are good. this is the first time it died. and the first time for a consistant knocking. it made a noise and lost power when i got on it before but i atributed that to the coil.

it is on top near the back, next to the alternator super charger and rear valve cover hard to pinpoint exactly

Lose of power and a knock near teh rear valve cover could be a damage valve train. Pull teh valve cover and inspect the rockers. Look for broken springs, or loose rockers. Before doign that, remove teh supercharger belt and see if the noise is still there, if not, the problem is in the pusercharger.
