Default Dash and shifter light

The light for "Driver Information Center" blinked on and off for a few days, then went completely out. I assume it is a loose bulb, any easy fixes? The info screen itself still works.

Also, the P N R OD D 2 1 down by the floor shifter, are they supposed to light up, or just the indicator light next to each letter? Mine don't.

I know my friend'* '94 SE has lights on his P R N OD D...Mine don't light up either and it looks like they are supposed to. I've never looked into it, but it would be nice if they do light.

Anybody with a 92 with light-up shifter letters? I don't know if it was something they might have changed sometime.

I think there'* something in TechInfo about that. There was a Service Bulletin on the fact that the ashtray light (which is supposed to light up the shift letters as well) would get out of position and not light things up the way it should. Mine has this same problem but I haven't gone in to investigate it yet...

I wish mine did. It would look better anyways. My ashtray light does work too, but not the shifter ones.

I disassembled most of my center console when putting in heated seats and stuff. I checked it out when I was in there. I can see how the ash tray light might light it up but no matter what I did I couldn't get the letters to light up. My light was working and mounted correctly from what I could tell.

If someone has thiers light up at night I would be interested in seeing pics of it, and maybe pics of the ash tray light setup as well.
