I posted a coil pack troubleshooting guide up in Techinfo awhile back....just for you!
Click the Techinfo link at the top of the page.
Well, I disconnected the MAF sensor and it didn't help. :(
I also disconnected the vacuum plug from the fuel regulator and no fuel came out....I was kinda surprised as I really thought that that might be the problem.
And the check engine lights, etc. are working so nope, it'* not burnt out. Wouldn't that be a hoot....
I'm pretty sure the spark plug wires are all fairly new. Just had the spark plugs changed the other day too and apparently two of them aren't burning/firing exactly right but that shouldn't cause the problems I'm having should it?
I said on an earlier post that the car ran well for a few minutes before it started sputtering but tonight I started it when it was cold and it started chugging right away so maybe it isn't thermal-related??
Will try giving the catalytic convertor a tap tomorrow.
I'm so frusterated!!
I just don't have the money to take the car to a mechanic....especially being a woman....they really see you coming. If I could just pinpoint the problem, I could tell the mechanic what I want done.
Sigh.

What city and state do you live in? You might be close enough to someone else that we could suggest a good shop if the need arises. You might also be close enough to someone for a little help! We've got some good wrenches here.
Try that coil pack troubleshooting. If you had a couple odd plugs, it could point that direction.

It really looks like it could be a coil....
I'm actually in Alberta, Canada so it'* a bit far from any of you and your trusty mechanics :( ....... But thanks anyway.
I'm not sure if I have the skills to do the coil troubleshooting but I know someone who will.
Well, if nothing else I know more about the workings of a car than I ever thought I would
I spent over an hour reading the car manual last night!!
