I wouldn't do the fan override to fix a problem. Repair the overheating issue first.

Not being able to locate my petcock and knowing I only needed to drain off a little I used a piece of vacuum hose (about 3-4 feet long) snuck it down inside the radiator and siphoned off about 1/2 gallon. Do the T-stat and refill, making sure to burp the baby.

Now all you guys laughing at me, which side is the petcock on? d/* or p/*? Cfoote even looked and couldn't see it.

driver side, i hade to take off that plastic underbody piece to get to it, its really hidden, it will actually actually end up draining thru a hole in frame on the bottom

and like i said twasnt the tstat, big question i had had is what exactly is smoking off and where is it coming from? cuz my coolant levels havve gone down, havent checked oil but i doubt 200 degrees would be enough for oil to smoke

it'* enough for the coolant that could possibly be in the oil to burn off.....CHECK YOUR OIL ASAP!!!!

!!! pretty damn sure its my upper intake, but i cant find the part anywhere, even gmpartsdirect only has the lower intake manifold, how much will it cost to get done at a shop cuz frankly i dont have much $ at the moment

If you don't have the money... do you have the wrenches? Intake is intake and would need to be done.

wait a minute... does the upper intake even effect the supercharged? if not then its probly just a gasket

All I've heard people on the Series II replacing was lower intake...upper doesn't normally seem to fail. Us Series I guys don't envy the intake problems.
