Default damn near overheating...

ok for some reason my fan doesnt kick on until the temp reaches 220, either way around 215-220 i start seeing steam/smoke coming out the grill, it smells like coolant but there is no coolant leak, ive checked, and theres no stray coolant anywhere cuz i just engine brited it, so what is this, is this a problem, and if so how do i fix it?

Possibly a bad water pump (not pumping coolant enough to cool) or a stuck thermostat (stuck shut not allowing coolant to circulate.) You may also have the incorrect mixture of coolant/water.

The fans stock won't kick on until 215* unless you have a chip programed elsewise.

How long is the vehicle running before it starts doing this?

HOW do you modify the fan to turn on at lower temperatures? Mine will go from 160-170 to near 220 as well in about 2 minutes if idling. Then the fan kicks in and it goes back to a little less than 200.

Is there a way to make it turn on at lets say 190?
